Leona Lewis wants to write a film and might even try her hand at acting in the future, she has revealed.

Leona Lewis – who has a song included on the soundtracks to new films ‘Precious’ and ‘Avatar’ respectively – is a huge movie fan and would love to pen a script in the future.

The 24-year-old singer said: “I love movies but I’m more into scriptwriting and the actual story and behind the scenes. But I wouldn’t say no if it was the right thing.”

Leona’s current single ‘Happy’ is featured in ‘Precious’, which tells the story of an overweight, illiterate teenager who dreams of a better life.

The pop star was thrilled when the track got picked to be used in the movie, saying: “I’m just so proud of it because I wrote it, and for it to be associated with a film like ‘Precious’, which is about trying to overcome troubles and trials in your life, is amazing. I’m glad that someone got that message.”

As Leona’s career goes from strength-to-strength, she is attracting a host of star fans.

Rihanna – who was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February – is a huge admirer and was very upset to hear about Leona being attacked by a fan at a recent book signing.

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer said: “I got so mad, like it was me. I couldn’t believe it happened to her, of all people. It’s so disappointing when people behave like that. Why? She’s so sweet. She is just a beautiful, beautiful spirit. You don’t want any bad things to happen to her.”

In the fiercely competitive pay-TV industry, one of the most blatant exaggerations used by the cable TV industry concerns satellite TV and how it is adversely affected by bad weather. Before I go any further, let me state right up front that yes, bad weather can disrupt, and even completely knock out satellite TV reception. How do I know? Because it has happened to me.

Speaking as someone who had cable TV for a dozen or so years and satellite TV for almost that long, I’ve have had ample opportunity to evaluate both services thoroughly. Today I have satellite TV service, which should tell you something.

My experience with bad weather disrupting my satellite TV viewing has shown that it is something that happens only on rare occasions. The longest outage I have ever experienced has been for 30 or 40 minutes at most. Compare that to cable, when our area experienced an outage lasting over two weeks due to an ice storm last December. And the cable industry has the nerve to cast doubt on the ability of satellite TV to endure bad weather? I can tell you one thing for sure: I have never experienced an outage lasting more than two weeks with satellite TV.

Where we live our weather gives us all the best (and worst) of all four seasons. We have heat waves in the summer where temperatures can approach 100 degrees and cold winters that bring us temperatures below zero and blizzards that can deliver two or three feet of snow. And did I mention the ice storms?

Don’t believe the claims that the cable industry makes about how weather disrupts satellite TV. If you are a satellite TV customer who has weather-related problems frequently, I can tell you this: You either live in an area with an inordinate supply of very bad weather, or you have a bad installation. Satellite TV must be installed properly in order to work the way it was designed to work. The dish antenna must be aligned to receive a good signal from the satellite and must be secured so that it is not moved by the wind.

The key to a satisfactory experience with satellite TV is the installation. Don’t let the installer leave until you are sure that your installation is working properly.
