Kasabian are the tops to be crowned the Lords of the present year’s Brit Awards, reports bookie Paddy Power. Paddy Power has installed the Leicester group as the hot six / five faves to win Best Group and also the thirteen / eight favorites to win Best Brit Album with West Ryder Beggar Lunatic Asylum following today’s proposals. The new Kasabian video with Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding is out soon
Serge Pizzorno and his bandmates are also three / one to do the double and win Best Album and Best Group. Kasabian’s main rivals for the desirable Best Album award look like being Florence & The Machine’s Lungs at seven / four while Muse may be their challengers in the Best Group class, also at seven / four. The other name that looks certain to rule the awards is Woman Gaga who is favorite for 2 awards at a percentages on four / five for Best International Female and six / five for World Discovery Act. However Best Female looks like being a much more hard call in what seems to be one of the most keenly contested classes with Florence & The Machine the seven / four favorite just before Lily Allen at nine / four and Nymph Lott at five / two.
Darren Haines, spokesperson for Paddy Power, asserted : With Oasis now consigned to the history books Kasabian look set to step into their shoes as Britain’s largest band and we think the Brit Awards to approve that..
