Insurance. Don’t Pay for the Same Cover Twice

Posted by admin on 19 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Hall Of Insurance

Have you got any idea how much you pay out on different types of insurance every year. Chances are if you sat down and worked it out you’d be shocked at the amount. It’s not just the amount, but also the contents of the cover that we are discussing in this article. Some elements of insurance are covered in other areas too, which means that you may well be paying for the same type of cover more than once.

Loss of income, legal expenses, theft and death are generally the most common areas that are easy to duplicate. It’s easy enough to make the mistake as some elements of cover are latched on without you really noticing. In other cases, perhaps a financial advisor arranged the cover and you never took the time to read the details properly. Hopefully, this article will help.

This issue recently came to light when the Financial Services Authority (FSA) released survey results showing that extras like breakdown recovery and legal expense cover are often tied to car insurance policies, and rather than being an optional extra, it actually takes the customer to make the phone call to remove the ‘option’. Another common crossover is permanent medical insurance (PMI) and payment protection insurance (PPI). People take out PPI with a loan or credit card, not realising that they are already covered by their PMI. So they end up for the same thing twice, which is pointless as there are no extra benefits to be had.

The Financial Ombudsman knows that this is going on, recognising the fact with the statement: “People… often do not realise until they make a claim that they have been paying for a policy that provides very little, if any, benefit”.

A case in point is Amanda Lariviere from West Yorkshire. Aged 42, she developed ovarian cancer and, following a bad reaction to chemotherapy, she was unable to work. She got a large tax bill in the post a few months later and decided to free up some money to pay the bill by re-mortgaging the house. The building society asked her to bring along her life insurance papers to help with the re-mortgage application, and then found that her life insurance policy was actually critical illness insurance instead. Amanda had been paying £80 a month for two policies with Scottish Provident and Norwich Union and hadn’t even realised that it was in fact critical illness cover. As Amanda had recently been through her ordeal with ovarian cancer, she was able to claim on both policies, and consequently received a £100,000 lump sum. That covered a lot more than just the tax bill, she managed to pay most of her mortgage off!

The policies listed below are all example of areas which could potentially cause duplication in your cover, so have a look to see if any of these cold apply to you.

Critical Illness insurance is sometimes included in cover provided by your employer. It’s well worth finding out before you purchase this sometimes expensive form of insurance.

If you have a company pension scheme then you may not need extra Life Insurance. Most company pension schemes have a death-in-service benefit that means if you die while you are still with the company, then a tax free lump sum will be paid out. This could be three or four times your annual salary at the time you died, possibly more, so it’s worth considering whether you really need that extra life insurance policy.

Two types of insurance overlap quite significantly and that’s Permanent Medical Insurance (PMI) and Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). PMI is a coverall insurance that means if you have an accident or become ill then you receive a monthly income that you can use to cover bills, rent, mortgage etc. However, many financial products sell PPI policies as an extra on their product only, and often we end up buying these add-ons without really noticing. If you already have PMI then this is a total waste of money as you are already covered. The only extra benefit with PPI is that you can be covered against redundancy.

Be sure not to make the mistake of letting these types of insurance overlap – if you are unsure about what is and isn’t included, read your PMI policy in full.

We don’t think that Mobile phone insurance is worth bothering with. If you have home insurance you may well be covered by that. Also, seeing as you will usually have to pay the first £50 of the claim, is it really worth it? We think going pay-as-you-go is the best thing to do if your phone gets broken or stolen.

You may notice on your car insurance and home and contents insurance an extra mention of Legal expense cover. It’s in these areas that a dispute over who is responsible for the damage is most likely to occur, so a number of these policies include it for no extra cost. However, it may be an optional extra, and if you’re a member of a trade union or a professional association, then you may already have some legal cover set up as a member’s incentive. Check this out first and you could save some money.

Some companies are trying to convince people to take out ID Theft insurance. There’s no need. If it does happen to you then you will only be responsible for the first £50 according to ‘Which?’ magazine, so the insurance is pretty pointless. You may also find that your bank will be prepared to waive all charges.

Ever bought a new watch and then accidentally dropped and broken it the next day? If you bought it on credit card then you’re in luck. Purchases are insured against accidental damage and theft for a set period of time, for example up to 60 days with Barclaycard. Before you got and buy another one, remember that the purchase may actually be insured.

Kings offer you access to life insurance, Car insurance and loans all online.

Temporary Health Insurance

Posted by admin on 19 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Hall Of Insurance

Temporary health insurance, also known as short-term health insurance plans or short-term medical insurance, is an insurance policy valid only for a limited period of time. Health insurance is defined as a type of insurance plan whereby the insurer covers the medical expenses of the insured when he/she becomes sick due to covered causes, or due to accidents.

Temporary health insurance provides ideal protection for persons who are in-between jobs, employed part-time, waiting for permanent health insurance to commence, attending school or recently graduated, and temporarily without health insurance for any reason.

Temporary plans provide a person the freedom of selecting any doctor or hospital. They also have a deductible scheme for the individual as well as the family. A person under 65 years of age and children under 19 or 25 (if a full-time student) are eligible to apply for temporary health insurance. The insurer may be a government organization or a private agency. Normally, the temporary health insurance can be purchased for periods as short as 30 days or up to 360 days.

The important point to remember when considering this type of insurance plan is that the insurance should not be seen as an alternative for standard, long-term health insurance. The plan is only intended to provide treatment for unforeseen illness or injury. Temporary health insurance is also exempt from Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which means that the plan does not have any guarantees. Once the limited time frame of the insurance ends, the insured may or may not be able to purchase extra health insurance, depending on his health at that occasion.

Temporary health insurance plan is a good option for those to whom a full insurance plan is not available. There are also low-cost health insurance plans, which are affordable plans designed for healthy people who are temporarily without health insurance.

Temporary Health Insurance provides detailed information on Temporary Health Insurance, Temporary International Health Insurance, Affordable Temporary Health Insurance, Temporary Student Health Insurance and more. Temporary Health Insurance is affiliated with Affordable Term Life Insurance Quotes.

Tips to Help You Decide between Buying Glasses or Contact Lenses

Posted by admin on 15 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Info

While many individuals still wear glasses, there is little doubt that they’re on the way out. There is no doubt that inserting them in your eyes and then taking them out again can be frightening initially, but once you’re used to it they are a good deal more handy than wearing bulky spectacles on your face, not to mention almost invisible, even when people who get up close to your eyes.

Vanity isn’t the main reason to don contact lenses, though. For many individuals, it is merely more practical – they work better for sport or any kind of manual work, for example, where glasses could easily get damaged. contact lenses are also not subject to the many things that can go wrong with specs, such as cracking, fracturing, or being affected by the weather (when they get rained on, for example).

If you are just going into the domain of contacts, though, it can feel like a bit of a tangle. What should you decide on? Hard lenses or soft? Daily lenses or monthly? Each choice comes with its rewards and disfavours.

The easiest doubt to deal with is probably that of hard lens systems. While hard lenses are still in use in many parts of the planet, this is primarily down to reasons of habit – individuals who are already using them are unlikely to change over. To the new user, hard lenses offer no advantages, and they are incredibly irritating until you get used to them. It is much better to simply go with soft lenses.

When it gets to the question of whether daily disposable lenses are finer, however, there is some controversy. Once you factor in the price of cleaning solutions for monthly lenses, there is little deviation in cost, but some people simply favour not to buy and throw away so many lenses. Ultimately, though, daily disposables tend to be thinner and therefore more comfortable, as well as costing you less if you happen to lose one, which makes them better suited to the beginner.

Whole Life Insurance Company – What Will It Offer Me?

Posted by admin on 14 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Hall Of Insurance

If you’re considering purchasing a whole life insurance policy, it’s best
that you first understand what a whole life insurance company will do for you.
There are pros and cons to doing your whole life insurance business with a whole
life insurance company.

A whole life insurance company will manage your policy’s cash value account, as
well as allow you to withdraw money from your account at any time. It pay
benefits to whomever you have named as your beneficiary. The cash that you
accumulate is tax-deferred, and you’ll be offered a low risk cash value account.
With a whole life insurance company, you can obtain dividends from your policy,
or you can use them to reduce your premium payments. More money saving
opportunities with a whole life insurance company? Your whole life insurance
policy will have a fixed premium, which means that the price you pay will not
increase ever during your lifetime. All you have to do is make sure you pay the
planned amount; in other words, stick to the payment plan that is agreed upon
once you purchase your whole life insurance policy, and your rates will stay the
same throughout the duration of your life.

However, there are downsides to using a whole life insurance company. You won’t
be able to have flexibility in regard to the cost of your premiums, nor will you
have any face amount flexibility. Without account flexibility, you aren’t able
to take the money from one account and move it to another account, nor will you
be able take even some of the money from one account and move it to another
account. Another major con when it comes to using a whole life insurance company
is the investment component. Many people choose to purchase whole life insurance
policies because of the investment component they offer; however, you can’t
invest in separate accounts like bond funds, stocks, or money markets.

Experience Awareness of this Particular Life and Get Glimpses of Others?

Posted by admin on 12 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: School of Relationships

You are dipping into the Akashic Records. These are holograms of all events that have taken place and are stored within the silence of your Core Being. Your awareness has started to awaken to this Inner Knowledge and you are able to watch and take part in these past events and lifetimes, just like on the Star Trek Holodeck.

You are a very special person and I feel it is your innocence to the experience, which makes it possible for you to have it. You are not trying, which would take you away from the experience as you connect to these more subtle levels of the mind by letting go, relaxing, releasing, and going deeper into the Silence within your consciousness.

“Are there some then that are fully aware of all aspects?”

Yes, Masters have understood who they are: the whole universe, with all life taking place within themselves. A good way to think of the universe is like a pebble on a beach. If you looked deeply into the pebble at the atomic structure, you would see all the electrons going around the nuclei: each atom like a solar system.

Time would be as if it takes a year for the electrons of the atom to make one revolution around the positive nucleus, radiating their energy, not unlike Earth going around the Sun. If your awareness is of the whole pebble, it is all happening within yourself at the same time.

You could say it takes millions of light years for the light from another nucleus or star to reach you but with the awareness of the whole pebble you know it is all happening in the now. The now does evolve as our consciousness grows and evolves and we become more self-aware of who and what we are.

“Can they all merge?”

I would say they are all merged already; it is our limited perception that gives us the illusion that they are all separate.

When we allow the mind and human consciousness to settle and become aware of their connection to Universal Consciousness and to merge with it, we see the connection point between the human, plant and animal kingdoms. We see the unity of life in all its forms and dimensions.

“Why am I not experiencing the lifetime when I was a speechwriter for Abraham Lincoln?”

Have you chosen to experience this? Have you pressed the right button to make the Holodeck play the tape? The power is within you and it is just a question of learning the right skills. This is a process of self-realization: no one else can do it for you.

“Is there something here in this particular aspect for me that is in no other?”
You are your story, which is unique, and it is programmed into your DNA and on every level of your existence. Your mind and your awareness have the power to change your story.

It is also good to be true to your story and live your nature. If one looks at dogs for instance, if you want to catch a rabbit, you may choose to use a Greyhound, as it has the right story to do this. If you want to herd sheep, you may choose to use a Border Collie: they have the right story for the job.

The question is, what is your story? What have you been pre-programmed to do; what is within your nature? What are your life’s purpose and your dharma? Only you know your nature and it comes from being innocent and being yourself, true to your nature.

“How does my soul partner relate to all this?”

Your soul partner is your opposite; you are half and they are half, like Yin and Yang; a particle and its antiparticle; male and female. When the two of you come together, you grow exponentially to become something more than the parts.

Like the particle and antiparticle, your coming together transforms you both from two particles into a wave of light. In humans, this union leads to the birth of the next generation and the continuation and mixing of stories or natures.

It is good to know of your connection to the whole, but it is also good to enjoy the human experience and live your life to the full. Your soul partner will help you experience the full range of your feelings and emotions; this is what living is all about.

Life is always changing; through change we can evolve and experience new aspects of our Self and our feelings and emotions, and experience a richer and more fulfilling life. Enjoy the journey!

Everything about Cherry Barrister Bookcases – It’s Fetching

Posted by admin on 10 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Info Broker, Library, Shopping Tips + More

Whenever you get in a library you are enchanted by the wide bookcases that are home to a powerhouse of information- books! Bookcases help in storing literature and saving them from wear and tear. A weak bookshelf has level shelves to keep publications. These bookshelves sometimes come with glass doors for reachable admittance to the contents.

What do you mean by a antique barrister bookcase?

A barristers job involves referring several vast worthy books each day. such reference manuals cost alot and are necessary often. Barristers bookcases are vigorous and retain large utility for a lawyer. They are also known as lawyers bookcases and can be produced in oak wood, cherry wood in various finishes and colors.

How volumes were stored before barrister bookcases came into being?

Volumes were not found commonly, so nobody thought of how to store them. books in olden years were hand-penned only. These volumes were located in boxes by the loaded class. It was the wealthy mans privilege to own and carry books as they were not affordable. Such boxes fulfilled the want for a bookcase.

As time passed, these manuscript volumes were owned by lots of such clergymen and affluent individuals in a large number. Thus the books had to be located within a wardrobe. bookcases sold nowadays have these cupboards as ancestors, but dont have doors always.

What technique was employed for storing books?

These books were not located with a modern approach. The books would be placed on their sides or with the edge on the head. A band of vellum or leather was utilised for inscription of the title and also closed the book. since this band had to be seen, the volumes were located with edges out.

anybody who liked reading could purchase books due to the printing invention. Because the titles could be printed behind the book, the edges were not facing outward any more.

Which materials were chiefly utilised?

These barrister bookcases utilised to consist of oak ordinarily. Other than that, maple, cherry and pine wood were also used for making a barrister bookcase. A steel barrister bookcase is long-lasting and low on maintenance too. The Bodleian Library at Oxford University households the earlier bookcases. they were kept in the library in the sixteenth century.

The two major bookcase designers were Chippendale and Sheraton who built elegant bookcases glazed with small tablets wrapped in lattice frames. Any room could look decorated with these bookcases.

Todays Barrister Bookcases.

Nowadays you can buy a mobile barrister bookcase that services a lawyer to switch in to a new office easily. this barrister bookcase is made after joining the various shelves that come separately. all it takes to be a complete barrister bookcase is an additional cap and pedestal. What more can you ask for in a barrister bookcase if the shelves can be moved with all books safe in it?

Don’t Overlook Online Bridal Shower Invitations

Posted by admin on 08 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: School of Relationships

Bridal shower invitations are not something some people would put a lot of thought into. After all, the wedding is the most important day right? But buying bridal shower invitations should be treated somewhat the same. Do you just want to go out and buy a package at your nearest shopping center? I doubt it. You should do your research and find what the best option available is. Buying bridal shower invitations online is a great option. There are many advantages to buying online and this article will help you understand why buying online may be a great alternative.

Why buy online? There are a lot of reasons but a few are very important. One of the biggest reasons buying bridal shower invitations online is convenience. How many other things do you purchase online? This should be no different. You can browse hundreds of invitations from your home. There are sites that let you preview the inside, outside and back of the invitations. Online invitation vendors also may offer different papers, ink and envelopes for your convenience. Buying bridal shower invitations online can also save you money. Often the websites are selling the invitations at wholesale prices. Also they can offer the invitations at a reduced cost because the company’s overhead to run an online store is much lower than stocking a store and hiring staff to run a retail store. If you are purchasing a lot of invitations they will probably offer a bulk discount or package deals if you purchase envelopes and other invitation accompaniments, such as seals and RSVP cards.

Purchasing bridal shower invitations online is very simple. The first step would be to do a simple search. You can search for keywords, such as bridal shower invitations or bridal shower invites. If you have a specific theme for the shower you could do a search for the theme, for example, if you are hosting a book or reading theme bridal shower you could search for keywords like ‘book bridal shower’. Of course, searching for a specific themed shower invitation can be harder for some themes. The Internet has so many options though that I believe there is the perfect invite for everyone’s needs. You can also request samples to be mailed to you on most sites. This allows you to see the invitation in person rather than on a screen. After you find the invitation you need, you should then read the site’s purchasing terms, make sure to check and see if they offer any specials for large orders or if you buy something else. After reading all the fine print you can then go ahead and make your purchase. The concept of buying online can seem scary to someone who has never done it before but it is just as safe as buying anywhere else. Most sites offer credit card payments and some even accept checks electronically.

The variety of bridal shower invitations offered online is tremendous! One may feel overwhelmed with the choices. This is a good thing though as you can shop around until you are happy. A convenient thing about shopping online is the ability to send a link to the bride or any other person involved in the planning of the shower. The ability to preview the invitations online is great and some sites even give you the opportunity to customize the bridal shower invitation and preview it instantly. You can change things such as the color of the text and the pictures on the invitations. The option of customizing online is a great advantage that you cannot get by buying at a local card store. If a local place offers custom invitations they will more than likely charge a lot more than the online sites.

In conclusion, buying bridal shower invitations online is a very good idea. Do not think that browsing through all of the online options is time consuming. You must keep in mind how much time it will take to drive to and from a store and also the time it will take if you do not find what you want at one store and have to go shopping for an entire day. Sometimes one day of shopping will still leave you empty handed! So do not overlook online bridal shower invitations.

IT Strategy for Midsize Business: Microsoft vs. Java, Great Plains & CRM

Posted by admin on 07 Apr 2009 | Tagged as: Software Hub

Midsize business or non-profit organization should decide if one-vendor solution would be appropriate and the associated risk acceptable. In our opinion, balancing the risk of one-vendor-approach is not economically feasible and should be avoided. This means that you need to decide if you plan to be Microsoft-oriented or Java/Unix/Linux/Oracle oriented. In the case of Java direction – you again have to further consider your options and if possible do not deploy too many systems from different vendors. Even if you host your systems with somebody else – we think that in the future you might have a risk of complex data conversion from one system to another. In this small article we’ll show you typical way if you follow Microsoft direction: Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains and Microsoft CRM

• Sales Automation. It was actual at all the times, however now it is becoming critical to have decent Client Relation Management (CRM) system implemented. You order takers or sales people should be working exclusively in CRM, where you should have sales workflow, approvals, pipeline of pending deals, reporting with future cash flow prediction. Use Microsoft CRM Sales module.

• Servicing. If you would like to avoid tame wasting when your service and sales people are talking to each other and have long meetings to fulfill customer order, you have to organize them around CRM Service module: Contract, Case, Activity, workflow and assignments to service technicians, plus email to/from your customers should be captured in MS CRM

• ERP. Currently, Microsoft Business Solutions has MS CRM integrated with Microsoft Great Plains. Great Plains is good ERP solution for majority midsize business and fits to variety of business niches. Great Plains is integrated with MS CRM on the level of Sales Order Processing module (SOP).

• Customization. Usually each midsize business has unique procedures which should be mapped into their CRM and ERP. So, be ready to have minor or major customization implemented. In the case of MS CRM – majority of the customizations are done in C# or VB.Net – so called Microsoft CRM SDK programming and development. It is open technology – you can download MS CRM SDK and have anyone with C#/VB.Net skills do the job. In the case of Microsoft Great Plains he technology is not that open and you might need somebody with Great Plains Dexterity, VBA/Modifier, Integration Manager, eConnect, SQL coding – this combination of skills is usually available from one of the Microsoft Business Solutions Customization Partners

• Integration. If you have something else, besides Microsoft CRM and Great Plains, then you might need the integration. Assuming that your major systems are on the Microsoft platform – integrations should be done via heterogeneous queries from the side of Microsoft SQL server – through linked servers

• Reporting. In our opinion – the best tool for non-financial reports (financial – use FRx) is Crystal Reports. Base your Crystal report on heterogeneous view or stored procedure to pull the data from multiple systems. You can deploy Crystal reports in your web application, if needed

Good luck with implementation, customization and integration and if you have issues or concerns – we are here to help! If you want us to do the job – give us a call 866-528-0577 or 630-961-5918! help@albaspectrum.com
